Oberfeldwebel Eismann was awarded the Honor Roll Clasp on 5.12.1944 as a Oberfeldwebel serving with 4./Gren.Rgt.412 which was part of the 227.Inf.Div. which was fighting in Kurland in late 1944. He was awarded the German Cross in gold on 2.5.1944 for bravery during Narwa battles. Eismann was also a recipient of the Close Combat Clasp in silver.

 

His personal Honor Roll Clasp is part of the grouping. A nicely gilt example in very good condition on the original ribbon. All prongs in place. Nice patina. The original ribbon comes with clear signs of wear and four original buttons to attach to his uniform.

 

Furthermore there is his personal 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. It is 22.9.42 dated to the reverse which is exactly the date of the awarding as confirmed by a 1968 issued document of the Bundesarchiv. The document also confirms he was awarded the German Cross, the Honor Roll clasp and the Iron Cross 2nd Class.

 

There is a great portrait photo showing Eismann with all awards including the Close Combat Clasp in silver. 9cm + 13cm. Named to the reverse.

 

There is an early 1940 dated driving book named to Eismann and a postwar regiment chronicle of Grenadier-Regiment 412 which will be an excellent source to research Eismann. We are certain he will be mentioned in there several times due to his important awards. The book is signed by the author Ernst Ratz and the commander of II./Gren.Rgt.412 Hermann Bauch.
