Description

October 1942. The plane was called "Johannes Höroldt". His German Cross was damaged due to the heat of the fire during the crash. You can clearly see black smoke/fire damage. It was however cleaned before shipping home to the family which can also be seen.

German Cross in gold. Five-rivet example made by Juncker, Berlin. Multi-piece construction. Weight: 64.7 gr. A well-worn badge with "character". Awarded on 24.5.1942.

A letter of condolence from the German Lufthansa to his wife. Dated "29.10.1942". Furthermore a portrait photo of him.
