Description

Fine privately purchased officer's tunic for an artillery Oberleutnant serving with Artillerie-Regiment 22. The tunic was made from a quite unusual - probably foreign - fabric which makes this tunic very special. The quality and condition is very nice. There is no damage or moth holes. All buttons are originally attached and show full color.

Fine silk lining. No name or tailor's tag. Originally attached loops for three awards such as an Iron Cross 1st Class, a General Assault Badge and a Wound Badge. Nice Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon period time attached by hand with great patina.

Officer's hand-embroidered breast eagle accurately attached by hand. Hand-attached boards and tabs. The tabs are attached by hand and machine. There could be signs of previously attached tabs but it could also be only stitching holes from fixing the tabs before attaching them.

Overall a very nice tunic in condition 1. Medium size.
