A German M40 helmet. The type of helmet was issued to Heer, Luftwaffe, Kriegsmarine, Polilzei and Waffen-SS troops. This example was issued by the Heer.

Paint: Original factory paint. Around 90% still present. Rust and signs of wear and age.

Decals: 85% present.

Lining: Leather lining. Still flexible and soft. Original cord.
The prongs look untouched,

Chin strap: Soft leather.

Markings: Q64 and T771
