Description

An impressive Nymphenburg porcelain vase. Around 1940.

Designed by Gerdy Troost (1904-2003). She was a German architect and the wife of Paul Ludwig Troost (predecessor of Albert Speer). Together with Leonhard Gall, she designed the interior design of Hitler's "Berghof" on the Obersalzberg. Furthermore, she supervised the construction of the "Haus der Deutschen Kunst" in Munich. Until the end of the war, she remained active as an architectural consultant in the environment of Hitler.

An excellent hand-painted and gilt porcelain vase. Showing two portraits of ancient Greek heroes. Made by the porcelain manufactory Nymphenburg. Blue underglaze maker's mark to the bottom and the model number "983 2".
