Description

Very early Allgemeine-SS black service uniform to SS-Rottenführer serving with 5. SS-Standarte "Mosel" based in Luxemburg. Sturm 1 of I. Sturmbann cufftitle. Rare leader's pattern with hand-embroidered "1". Typical pattern with green threads. Attached to the cuff by hand.

SS-Reserve swastika armband. Machine-woven black swastika on a white base which is machine-attached to the red armband . White-grey ribbons to the top and bottom indicate "Reserve". The armband was attached with a few stitches to the sleeve but removed one. You can still see black thread to the sleeve and armband. It certainly belonged to this tunic.

Fine 5. SS-Standarte insignia showing matching patina. Hand-embroidered "5". Silver thread. Black-silver cords to the collar and tabs which are attached by hand. Matching shoulder boards hand-attached to the tunic quite sloppy.

Black silk lining. Reinforced with black ripped silk to the neck area. Complete and originally attached "Assmann" EXTRA FEIN buttons. Iron belt hooks.

Quite a few old repairs to the tunic as well as large bits professionally replaced to the armpit area.
Well worn condition.

A rare authentic tunic in worn condition 3+. Medium size. A very early pre RZM regulation tunic.
