Third Reich period time real silver note book case presented by Günter von und zu Egloffstein (1896–1938) to an unknown individual as a Christmas present in 1937. Von und zu Egloffstein served as NSKK-Oberführer and as president of the German automobile claub DDAC from 1933–1938.P
The silver case comes with a separately attached (inserted), gilt "DDAC" emblem to the front side. The inside of the top is hand-engraved:
"IN DANKBARKEIT UND ANERKENNUNG, WEIHNACHTEN 1937". Egloffstein's signature below.
Excellent quality work!
The original notebook is still inside. About 30% of the pages are there. One page is written and dated "München Ostern 1941 Karl ......". It was probably written by the owner.
The reverse is finished with fake crocodile leather which is typical.
