Description

Interesting M41 field tunic which was manufactured in 1942. The tunic comes in nearly unworn condition and with a dark green collar cloth instead of a grey one which would be correct for an M41 tunic. The collar was period time finished with a dark green cloth for "fashion" reason. Soldiers preferred the look of the early M36 tunic (which was issued with dark green collars). A tailor would have changed this for him. In addition, he had a dark green early machine-embroidered breast eagle applied for the same reason. The collar tabs were machine-attached after the collar finish was changed.

Cotton lining with size markings and a "P42" depot marking. Furthermore, a "SARPA" maker's mark. Fully originally attached buttons.

Very nice condition 2+. No moth damage. Medium size.
A very nice tunic.
