Well worn and "untouched" Luftwaffe officer's visor cap. A cap which could certainly tell some story and most have been worn throught the war.
Hand embroidered officer's cap insignia. Both are original to the cap and attached by hand. A small part of the seam of the eagle has opened. Looking behind it shows a darf shadow which proofs the eagle was there since the cap was taiored.
"56 1/2" size stamped to the inside of the liner which is very well worn, shows cracks and small bits missing. Fine silk lining. No marings.
A great "salty" cap with a lot of character! No moth damage.
