NJG 1 "Wilde Sau" kill report document grouping Hptm. Hager

Description

Kill report document grouping to radio operator Unteroffizier von Bergen serving with the II./Nachtjagdgeschwader 1 together with his pilot Leutnant Hager.

Johannes Hager, later promoted to Hauptmann, was credited with 47 aerial victories in 99 air combats. He served the II./Nachtjaggeschwader 1 very successfully with his most impressing accomplishment being on 21.2.1945 when he had 8 aerial victories in under 17 minutes. Hager was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross on 12.3.1945

Original II./NJG1 issued "Abschussmeldung" (kill report) for the above-mentioned group's kill of a British Short Sterling aircraft.

The documents state that the mission was a "Wilde Sau" one. The enemy aircraft was shot down near Sputendorf.

5.12.1943 dated and signed by Hauptmann Eckart-Wilhelm von Bonin.

 

"Gefechtsbericht" by van Bergen, which was signed per pro.

Report of the group commander signed by Gruppenkomandeur Hauptmann (later Major) von Bonin.
