Bavaria - infantry officer's spike helmet M1886/1914

Description

A Bavarian M1886/1914 spike helmet for an infantry officer. Wartime pattern.

Corpus made from so-called "Ersatzmaterial" (replacement material) with gilded "wartime" metal fittings (cruciform base, chin scales, front plate, and fluted spike). One officer's star to the cruciform base is missing. Both original cockades in place.

Brown leather sweatband with green officer's lining inside.
