Description

An officials sword from the reign of the Prince Regent of Bavaria.

Decorated brass handle with mother-of-pearl grip plates. Attached Bavarian crown. No chipping.

Etched and gilded blade with ornaments to two sides. Blued background. Inscription "IN TREUE FEST". Furthermore engraved "Chr. Block Hofgärtler München ?". Hard to read. Maybe the merchant of the sword. Stains.

Leather scabbard with brass metal fittings. The upper fitting is slightly loose and the lower fitting has some small dents.

Length: 94 cm.

Worn. Good condition.
