Uniform grouping of an EM serving with "Dragons de la Garde impériale", a royal gard dragon. 

Iron helmet with black fur trimming and brass comp. Signs of age and wear to the fur. Nickeled comp base with minor rust. Hollow constructed comp attached with the original screws. Ornaments to all sides. Red "houpette" from horsehair attached to the front side fitting. To the reverse, a black horsehair tail. To the left side a brass mounting for a so-called "Huppe" (missing).

Chained brass chin strap attached to rosettes secured with the original screws. Leather chin strap intact with signs of age.

A ventilation hole to the reverse as well as several markings including a "1848" date stamp. Original leather lining with signs of age and wear. No extra holes.

Both visors finished with leather. Black reinforcement bars. One with a barely readable marking. 

Signs of use and age, however, almost complete and very hard to find. 

Matching iron cuirass. Nickeled. Brass fittings and leather backened chain. Horizontal leather strap with iron buckle. Black painted to the inside. Several hooks.
A very small maker's mark to the top part of the rear plate. 
Professionally cleaned. Good condition.
