Imperial Germany - field tunic for Seebataillon & Marineinfanterie troops
Description
A privately purchased example used by "Marineinfanterie" units. White piping around the collar, the cuffs and the reverse. Collar tabs removed. Tombak buttons. Six buttons and one belt hook missing in total. Brown cotton lining. Both field dressing pockets in place. The edge of the lining was field time stitched up again.
Seams around the armpits slightly opened. Button holes to the pocket flaps period time added. Including a pair of looks M1910 shoulder boards for soldiers serving with II. Seebatallion. French inventory stamps to the lining.
Reverse: 77cm. Sleeve: 63cm. Waist: 88cm.
Condition 2-3. Signs of wear and age.
