Description

M1886 spike helmet. leather helmet with tombak fittings. The helmet comes with a so-called "alter Grenadieradler" front eagle badge and a reserve cross which is not correct for this type. This badges was certainly re-attached. Plate base with star prongs. Base plate. Both cockades in place. Including its gilt chain. Visors green and red lined. Officer's lining from ripped silk. Small size. Helmet with extra, however, apart from the re-applied eagle, in untouched condition.
