Prussia - M1897 Garde-Fußartillerie spike helmet for a reserve officer

Description

Leather spike helmet M1897 with tombak fittings and bars to the front and rear visor. Around 1910.

"Garde" officer's front eagle with enameled center (slightly chipped). Reserve's cross. Spike plate with officer's screws and officer's base. Ball spike as worn by artillery troops.

Flat chinscales attached to rosettes with a "Land" cockade. "Reichskokarde" missing.

Red and green lined visors. Officer's leather lining. Silk lining missing. Maker marked. Barely readable notes. Size 55.

Serious signs of age and wear. Corps deformed.
