Fur hat with typical waxed top. Typical bamboo frame. Fittings with rests of the original fieldgrey color.
Leather chin strap attached to buttons M91. "Reich" cockade in place. Iron "bandeau" with motto "MIT GOTT FÜR KÖNIG UND VATERLAND" in place.
Leather lining with maker's mark "Julius Jansen" (Strassburg). "1916" dated. "53" sized marked.
"Feldzeichen" missing. Hooks and catches for the cords in place. Fur entirely gone off. The leather is remaining.
Clear signs of age and wear. Holes to the front side probably due to a missing unit name of Rheinischen Husaren-Regiments Nr. 7 which was based in Bonn.
