Impressive period time bust of a Wehrmacht soldier mounted on a marble base. The bust was given as a shooting prize to an unknown soldier for his "good achievements" in the year 1937/38. He served with 13./Infanterie-Regiment 37.
Hand-engraved metal tag "Für gute Schießleistungen Schießjahr 1937/38 - 13./I.R.37".
The marble base is quite nice and unusual and comes with 8 corners to the top. It has its original seller's tag still attached: "CARL SCHÄFFER".
Hollow constructed zinc bust. Originally silver finished with patina.
