Description

Prussian cavalry sabre M1852 to a soldier serving with Magdeburgisches Train-Bataillon Nr. 4. Private purchased.

The sabre comes with a nice etched blade to both sides. It shows nice ornaments and a cavalry scene on a blued background. "W. Damke Magdeburg" maker marked. The other side displays the unit of the soldier "Magdeb. Train Bataillon No 4.". Also on a blued background with fine ornaments. A nickel basket hilt. The backpiece is made from iron. Furthermore, a real ray skin finished grip. The leather finger loop is present. Original anodized steel scabbard. Some dents. 

Including a sabre knot.

Length: 100 cm. Signs of wear. Good condition.

Prussian cavalry sabre M1852. 

The blade is in good condition. No maker's mark. Iron basket hilt with a real ray skin finished grip. Intact wire wrapping. Steel scabbard with three metal bands. The screw is missing. Some dents.
