Heer privately purchased Feldgendarmerie visor cap. The cap comes in well worn condition. The orange piping nearly turned into a brown color. There must have been a visor cap worn with this cap at the beginning since the bottom piping (front side) is still orange. Later, the owner must have removed it to give the cap the typical look of a "crusher cap".
The cloth it was tailored from is a more police-blue, however, the cap band is not brown but typically green as worn by Heer troops.
The insignia are absolutely matching in patina and condition. Zinc wreath and eagle.
Sweat-band in well worn condition. Repaired to the front side torwards the visor.
