A stunning Heer ex-double decal M35 helmet which must have been worn in the field for a very long time. It was issued as a "apple-green" helmet in 1936 and still shows most of its original factory color. Both decals were removed later in war (they do not look postwar removed) and the helmet was painted with a rough dark field-grey sawdust paint. Parts of this paint are still present.
"It comes with a "Wehrmachtbeschaffungsamt" stamp to the dome "Abgenommen IV 1936". The soft chin strap is also "1936" dated and maker marked and absolutely original to the shell. The same is true for the liner. The prongs of the rivets are flat and were never opened. The soft leather liner is "SCHUBERT-WERKE" marked and comes with the original cord.
The shell is NS64 maker marked and size stamped.
