Very rare early M41 tropical field tunic as issued to Afrikakorps soldiers. This example was period time modified by added a dark green collar. This was professionally done by a tailor on request of the owner. The tunic comes with all orginal buttons which are attached with their original rings.
The Iron Cross 2nd Class ribbon is definitely originally attached as well and comes with great patina. Two pair of original attached award loops holding an Infantry Assault Badge in silver (zinc) as well as a Wound Badge in black.
Size markings as well as an M42 depot marking.
The collar tabs, shoulder boards and the breast eagle are postwar attached, however, they are nicely matching. The NCO tress around the collar is period time.
Minor moth damage to the inside of the collar and to one shoulder board only.
