Hitler's visit to Rome - grouping to Postsekrektär Marr
Important grouping to Postsekretär Alfons Marr who was part of Adolf Hitler's visit to Rome in 1938. The post officials which were part of the delegation played the most important role in the broadcast of photos and film footage.
Original train ticket "Fahrausweis" valid for the "Staatsbesuch des Führers in Italien". "Sonderzug II". A hardcover ticket with four pages which contains times and stations the train stopped on its way from Berlin to Rome and return. Embossed national eagle to the front cover. Size: 15cm x 11cm.
A 1938 commemorative badge which was made for this event. "STAATSBESUCH ADOLF HITLERS IN ITALIEN 1938". "Entwurf S. Fuchs" marked by the designer. Maker marked by Nottbrock, Italy.
A silk cloth table in size 31cm x 31cm showing German as well as Italian national flags.

Italian award certificate for the Italian Knight's Cross of the Order of the Crown. The German award document for the Italian award which was issued at "Berchtesgaden" on 12.8.1938 by Adolf Hitler. Embossed printed eagle. Not folded. Issued to "Postsekretär Alfons Marr". DIN A4 size. Very nice condition.

1.6.1938 dated letter by "Der Präsident der Reichspostdirektion" which was sent with the award and certificate as it says. Original signature of "Präsident der Reichspostdirektion" Meier who congratulates Alfons Marr to the awarding. Folded once.
17.6.1938 dated letter sent by "Der Reichspostminister" Ohnesorg to Postsekretär Marr. Original ink signature of Ohnesorg. The letter has forwarded the letter of Joseph Goebbels who has thanked Ohnesorg and all post officials involved in Hitler's visit to Italy. Post officials were responsible for the smooth process for TV and press crews forwarding pictures worldwide. Folded twice.
Actual Knight's Cross in original "EV" (Viktor Emanuel III.) marked red case of issue. No damage to the enamel. Including an extra piece of ribbon and a ribbon bar. Very nice condition.
