Nicely worn Kriegsmarine M40 helmet issued with a single decal. The decal has the typical gold color only worn by Kriegsmarine troops. It is not a silver Heer decal with patina!
The shell comes around 85% of the original factory paint in place. The decal is about 85% as well. There are scratches and signs of wear which gives the helmet a great patina.
There is a crack to the reverse of the shell. It was possibly damaged period time. The rear rivet has also lost the cover.
The shell is ET66 marked. The liner is not size stamped but it should be 57/58.
The prongs look to be very flat so we believe the liner is original to this helmet.
A nice worn "been there" helmet in good condition.
