Description

From Potsdam to Lake Constance. Document for advertising the airship idea. Color-illustrated "Offizielle Postkarte der Deutschen Luftschiffahrts-A.-G."(Official Postcard of the German Airship-A.-G.) with printed postage-stamp, stamped 6.IV.1913, Berlin-Schöneberg "Fahrt der Reichstagsmitglieder über dem Bodensee" (Trip of the members of the Reichstag over Lake Constance). "An Bord des Z-Luftschiffes Hansa den 2/IV 1913. Fahrt Potsdam - Spandau - Berlin - Potsdam. Luftschiff z. Zt. über Kgl. Schloss... Die Fahrt war überwältigend schön! ...".(Onboard of the Z-Luftschiff Hansa 2/IV 1913. Potsdam - Spandau - Berlin - Potsdam. Airship currently over the Royal Castle ... The trip was overwhelmingly beautiful! ...). The colored picture side of the map shows an airship in front of the Lindau harbor above Lake Constance.

There are 5 other documents: Ernst, Prince of Saxony-Altenburg (1871-1955). Letter with signature and an envelope. 3 p. 8vo. Potsdam 10.III.1902. To the airship pioneer Dr. H. Stade with thanks for the splendid "Greenland work"; "Landing". Color-illustrated "Official Postcard of the German Airship-A.-G." with printed postage stamp. The (unused) map was intended for the passengers and should be written on during the flight, indicating the current position; Airmail card of a German student  "Graf Zeppelin" (LZ 127), addressed to the "German Students Coop. Ass." in New York. Franked with the stamp "Deutsche Luftpost Europa-Amerika, 2 Reichsmark", and stamped Friedrichshafen, July 31, 1929. It also bears the New York arrival mark of August 5 and the special stamp "Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin. 1. America trip 1929". "Hopefully this time the" Graf Zeppelin "will succeed! ..." - Eigh. Postcard from Isa Brandenstein-Zeppelin to Dr. Stade (1981). The illustrated card with the special cancellation "Neu-Isenburg Zeppelinheim" was published on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the LZ 127 arctic journey. Illustrated article written by the "Berliner Morgenpost" about the airship era (1980). A total of 6 interesting airship documents 1902-1981.
