Waffen-SS reversible camouflaged helmet-cover. A very rare first pattern example from "place tree" camo cloth. What makes this cover even rare are the sewn-in helmet attachment hooks. The backplates are usually riveted. This pattern has them sewn-in and not anodized as usual. Please see the last picture for a period time photo proof that hooks were attached that way!
All three helmet hooks are in place. Two of the springs are nicely working. One is broken.
The plane tree camo material shows a spring and an autumn spring. There is a "3" size marking ot the autumn side.
The cover was only slightly worn. The front part shows some cracks where the helmet connected. Apart from that, fresh colors and only minor signs of wear.
The cover was placed on a size 64 helmet for display.
