Description

Bronze plate designed by Arno Breker. It shows a bird of prey. "A.B." (Arno Breker) artist signature. Maker marked to the reverse. The suspension hook is broken off. Unknown date of manufacture, possibly after 1945.

Diameter: 22 cm.

Arno Breker (1900-1991) was a German architect and sculptor. He was one of the leading artists during the Third Reich and worked very closely with Albert Speer. He was number one on the so-called "Gottbegnadeten-Liste" (Important Artist Exempt List). The list was assembled in September 1944 by Joseph Goebbels and Adolf Hilter.
