Very nice Heer M40 single decal helmet. The shell comes with nearly 100% of the original factory paint. The paint is clearly fieldgrey and looks a lot better than we can show on the pictures which make the helmet look a little rusty.
The liner was oiled once and is fairly dry. It was re-attached to this shell which needs to get restored with a better liner. The chin strap is 1940 dated and quite nice but again oiled.
Interestingly there is no maker's mark to the shell. The lot number "D130" can hardly be seen as well.
A nice helmet which certainly will come nicer once you have it in your hands.
