A very rare M43 Heer field tunic tailored with Italian gabardine in 1944. A truely depot issued example as it is rarely seen with this cloth! Typical silk lining with size markings, an "F44" (Frankfurt, 1944) depot marking and a "Reichsbetriebsnummer" stamp.
All buttons are complete, a few look re-attached. This Oberarzt (Oberleutnant) preferred a more classic look for his tunic so had the collar changed to a dark green one and vertical bars added to all pockets. In short, he wanted to look his tunic like an early M36 one.
He also had a machine-woven officer's type of eagle attached by hand instead of the factory applied EM/NCO one. He removed the shoulder board loops (rests can be seen) and had officer's boards sewn in. Fresh "karmesinrot" red colors. Removed cyphers. Period time machine-attached collar tabs.
Four pair of award loops. One pair for a ribbon bar.
Medium size. One tiny rip to the right shoulder. No moth damage.
Rare!
