Early DLV knife (nickel type). The blade comes with the etched inscription "Deutschlandflug 1935 - Der Reichsverband der deutschen Luftfahrt-Industrie". "SMF Solingen" maker marked. Dark blue leather finished handle and scabbard. All four original screws in place as well as unopened. Silvered metal fittings. An acceptance mark on the throat. A small dent on the "ball". Slight signs of use. Good condition 2+.
Including the matching commemorative plate. The front shows the DLV emblem and the lettering "Deutschlandflug 1935 - Der Reichsverband der deutschen Luftfahrt-Industrie" (the same inscription as on the blade). Silvered. Stamped on the bottom. Width: 27.5 cm.
