1935 Third Reich RAD commemorative spade - RAD-Abt. 1/143 "Merseburg"

Description

Wooden handle with an attached metal tag "Ob arm ob reich ich mach euch alle gleich - Reichs Arbeits Dienst 1935". The spade blade is made from iron. Maker marked and numbered. "Ich diente für Volk und Vaterland - RAD 1/143 -14.3.35-30.9.35" painted on the front and "Gau XIV" painted to the reverse. With its original leather cover.
