Description

A fantastic M42 field tunic worn by a "Hilfskrankenträger" medic in the rank of an Obergefreiter. An absolutely untouched tunic with originally applied insignia.

This Obergefreiter had his M42 slightly modified period time to make it look more elegant:
1. A dark green M36 like collar was added.
2. Dark green M36 shoulder boards were sewn in
3. An M36 machine-woven breast eagle was attached by hand
4. The tunic was slightly shortened in length

All insignia were period time applied by hand. All buttons are complete but some look re-attached. The tunic comes with period time attached machine-woven "HIlfskrankenträger" armband hand-attached to the right sleeve. Furthermore, there is a hand-embroidered medical service branch badge to the same sleeve.

Typical silk lining. Stamps barely visible. A small piece of the liner was re-applied (10x5cm). The field dressing pocket button is missing.

A great tunic without any moth damage. Fantastic patina!
