Description
Japanese Order of the Rising Sun 2nd Class, sash badge and breast star.
Breast Star
An eight-pointed silver star with a red glass cabochon center, bordered by a "small" white enamel star. No chipping. Pinback, flanked by two clips. Furthermore Japanese characters. Size: 91x91 mm. Multi-piece construction.
Sash badge
An eight-pointed silver star. Enameled on both sides including a red glass cabochon center. No chipping. Height star: 55 mm. Original red/white neck ribbon. Length: 42 cm.
Including the original case of issue. Constructed of a balsa wood frame with a black lacquered finish. Purple inlay and lining. The obverse of the lid comes with gilt Japanese characters. Size: 23x11.5x5.5 cm. It opens and closes correctly.
Furthermore the matching buttonhole miniature.
