The dagger comes with an etched blade on both sides. It displays fine ornaments and naval motifs. "Hörster Solingen" maker marked. Slight stains. Typical white handle with intact wire wrapping. No chipping. The pommel and the crossguard are made from brass. Original officer's portepee. The scabbard is also made of brass, a so-called "Blitzscheide" (lightning scabbard). No dents.
The pommel can no longer be fully tightened.

Including a matching pair of original hangers. Constructed of black ribbed silk ribbons. Black velvet backing. Gilt aluminium fittings. Fully working snap-clips. Nice condition.
