Description

A so-called "Shashka". Reign: Nicholas II of Russia. An extremely rare piece awarded for bravery.

Maker marked blade as well as "1906" dated. Dark brown grip. No chipping. Brass hilt fittings. Hand-engraved on the crossguard (Cyrillic script: FOR BRAVERY) as well as stamped on the bottom. The pommel displays the royal monogram of Nicholas II. Furthermore, the top of the pommel shows the Saint Anna Order.

The scabbard is missing.

Length: 91.5 cm.

Signs of use. Good condition.
