A very early SS Service Dagger made by Herder. Nickel cross guards and scabbard fittings of matching patina. Blade with etched motto "Meine Ehre heisst Treue". Herder maker marked.
Professionally cleaned with many rust pits.
Chipped SS enamel rune emblem. Untouched eagle. Wooden grip with cratches, signs of use and damage.
Lower cross guard "I" area stamped. Scabbard with rests of a period time black paint (period time repainted) and many signs of wear. The screws look to be opened once.
Leather hanger with old repairs.
