A very early 1937 depot issued parade tunic which was period time modified by adding pockets to make it a field tunic. The Oberfeldwebel who had worn it served with 8./Infanterie-Regiment 109. The silk lining is "8.I.R.109" unit marked, size stamped and "M37" (München 1937) depot marked and dated.
A dark green M36 like collar was applied, M36 shoulder boards were attached (one moth damaged to the bottom and the piping), pockets were added and fieldgrey buttons attached. The parade cuffs were removed. The original eagle was removed and an M36 machine-woven example was attached by hand.
No moth damage to the tunic. Period time attached insignia.
