Description

A very early 1936 dated "Waffenrock" tunic which was issued by the depot. Depot issued and unit marked examples are harder to find. This example comes absolutely untouched and with all insignia period time attached. There is a period time applied name tag to Gefreiter Püttmann serving with 11./Infanterie-Regiment 58.

The shoulder boards once showed machine-embroidered "58" cyphers which were removed period time around 1939. The shoulder board buttons correctly show "11" for 11th company.

The breast eagle is a typical example around 1935-1937 with light-grey backing. All buttons are complete. The collar tabs are attached by machine, the breast eagle is attached by hand. Gefreiter Püttmann had carried on wearing it as an Unteroffizier. NCO tress was added to the collar and the shoulder boards.

Fine cotton lining with size markings, a maker's mark and a "E 36" (Erfurt, 1936) depot stamp. Furthermore, it is rarely "11./I.R.58" unit marked.

One pair of loops for one award as well as another pair of loops for one ribbon bar.

Small size. Good condition. No damage.
