Waffen-SS M43 field cap with white officer's piping. Typical silk lining with a size "55" marking. There is another unknown round marking. The cap comes with a brown sweat-band showing minor signs of wear.
The cap once had the a Heer cockade and eagle separately attached through the liner. You can still see traces. A machine-embroidered triangle EM/NCO Waffen-SS cap badge was later attached by hand. An EM/NCO Waffen-SS Edelweiss badge was attached by machine.
