Original oil by Otto Engelhardt-Kyffhäuser (1884-1965). Painted on a wooden board. Titled "Auf dem Treck" (On the Trek). The picture shows the repopulation of the Warthegau by the ethnic Germans.
In January 1940 Otto Engelhardt-Kyffhäuser accompanied the trek at the request of Heinrich Himmler. He documented the journey through numerous sketches and drawings, which were exhibited in Berlin on 30. March 1940 as well as published in the book "Das Buch vom großen Treck".
