The cigarette case was a gift from Gauleiter Erich Koch to Gauleiter August Eigruber to his 35th birthday on 16. April 1942. Eigruber was the Gauleiter of Reichsgau Oberdonau as well as SS-Gruppenführer (SS number 292.778).
Made from real silver. "925" silver hallmark. Gilt. The top of the case displays the coat of arms of the Gau East Prussia. Erich Koch was the Gauleiter of this Gau. Inside the top is the facsimile signature by Erich Koch. Furthermore the goldsmith's hallmark by Herbert Zeitner. He was a famous goldsmith at this time.
