Description

Excellent grouping to Generalmajor Walter Leuze (1891-1964), Fortress-Commandant of Le Havre as well as commander of several Heer units from 1935 until 1945.

An unworn German Cross in silver. Made by C.F. Zimmermann, Pforzheim. A so-called "light" (Cupal) piece. "20" maker marked to the pin. Excellent "frosty" silvered wreath. Black enameled swastika. Two tiny manufacturing errors. All four original rivets in place. Multi-piece construction. Weight: exact 45.0 gr.

Including the rare case of issue. It comes with the typical silver line around the top. The case opens and closes correctly. An excellent set, very hard to find in this condition!

Certificate to German Cross in silver. Large type. Issued on 30. October 1943. Originally signed by Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel. A3-format. No holes.

Certificate to German Cross in silver. Small type. Issued on 30. October 1943. Originally signed by Generalleutnant Wilhelm Burgdorf (Knight's Cross winner). A5-format. No holes.
