Description

Untouched early M35 helmet which was worn throughout the war and taken home as a souvenir since it was damaged in the field. The helmet was found in summer 2020. The chin strap broke shortly after since the finder (not a collector) had worn it as a motorcycle helmet to try.  At 100km/h, the buckle has separated from the strap. Luckily, the helmet stayed on his head.

SE68 marked shell. "Apple-green" factory factory color with both originally attache decals in place. A darker grey color was sprayed over it in the 1940s. Both paints as well as the decals show extensive signs of wear.

Originally attached leather lining. Still flexible but not too soft. "44" dated and maker marked chin strap. Broken to the short strap. Partially dry.

A bullet of splinter shell has hit the helmet. Two holes.

A great character helmet never available on the market before.
