VIEW DESCRIPTION

A very interesting Heer M43 field tunic tailored with Italian gabardine around 1944. Worn by a Hauptmann of Infanterie-Division "Großdeutschland".

The silk lining is lack of any date, size or maker's mark. Complete buttons. Two buttons are re-attached.

Machine-attached infantry officer's collar tabs. Traces of formally factory attached EM/NCO tabs visible. Shoulder board loops removed and infantry Hauptmann shoulder boards sewn in. Shoulder boards with brass "GD" cyphers and rank pips. All prongs in place.

Hand-attached officer's breast eagle with green backing. Hand-attached Iron Cross ribbon. Several loops for awards and ribbon bars.

Fine silk lining. Removed field dress pocket and y-strap hook loops.

A very nice and good looking tunic with re-attached insignia. Medium size. No moth damage.
