Autograph - Siegfried Rieger - on post war photo. Ink pen. With dedication on reverse.

Siegfried Rieger was among the small (10 men) Feuerwerker Kommando whose main task was to disarm unexploded allied bombs in Berlin. After disarming hundreds of bombs Rieger disarmed several unexploded bombs near the Reichskanzlei. The next day he was summoned to the Führerbunker and was awarded the Knight’s Cross by Hitler for his saving of the Reichskanzlei during the night from April 17/18, 1945.
