Award document for the War Merit Cross 1st Class with swords to Leutnant Hans Christiansen on April 20, 1942.

The document is signed by Generalfeldmaschal Keitel.

Wilhelm Bodewin Johann Gustav Keitel ( September 22, 1882 - October 16, 1946) was a German army officer (from 1940 Field Marshal) and from 1938 to 1945 Chief of the High Command of the Wehrmacht .

He was one of the 24 people indicted in the Nuremberg trials of the main war criminals before the International Military Tribunal . He was found guilty of all four charges on October 1, 1946, sentenced to death by hanging and executed with nine other convicts on October 16, 1946 in Nuremberg.
