Description

Third Reich state forestry "Hirschfänger" (hunting dagger) by Eickhorn. A high-quality luxury example with engraved scabbard fitting and ornamented handle bow.

Nice gilded and decorated brass handle with white grip plates. Both sides with three attached acorns. No chipping.

Clean blade. "Eickhorn" maker marked. Etched to three sides with hunting scenes. The blade back "W. MICHOVIUS COTTBUS" (merchant) etched.

Leather scabbard with gilded metal fittings. Engraved picture of a deer. No dents.
