This Solingen made Hitler Youth knife is an interesting example of a knife that was potentially worn after a HJ member graduated to Army services. The steel based hilt has most of the plating remaining.

The grip plates were exchanged for black painted wood. The HJ symbol was replaced with the miniature of a general assault badge. The grip rivets are the steel type.

The scabbard shell retains 85% of the paint. Attached to the scabbard is a very fine black leather hanger complete with its retaining loop and working snap. This leather is still supple and has most of its original finish.

The blade is in good condition. The ricasso is marked C.&R. Linder Solingen-Weyer surrounding the company logo as well as the RZM designation M7/15. Full motto “Blut und ehre” present.

Handsome knife that found use beyond the HJ days.
