Description

VIEW DESCRIPTION

This Bayonet features blued metal fittings overall, with double Waffen Amt stamped pommel with working external release button, with screw in bakelite grips and metal guard & muzzle slot. The 25.5 cm long blade shows the ‘blood groove’ to each side of the blade, with evidence of sharpening, good spear point, with blade being in generally good condition overall with about 65% of the original blued finish. Ricasso stamped 1140 & E.u.F. Hoerster as well as date 40 (1940) to spine. Standard metal scabbard with none of the protective blue brown finish, with matching numbers. Surface rusted scabbard.

Comes with seemingly unmarked frog in good condition.
