Description

A nice grouping to Major Erich Schmidt serving with Infanterie-Regiment 96 and 221. Sicherungs-Division. Close Combat Clasp in bronze winner.

Documents

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Issued on 29.5.1940. Signed by Generalleutant Franz Böhme, Knight's Cross winner.

Certificate to 1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Issued on 24.9.1941. Signed by Generalmajor Wilhelm Bohnstedt, Knight's Cross winner.

Certificates to Infantry Assault Badge in silver and Wound Badge in black and silver. Issued on 2.1.1942, 14.9.1940, and 8.11.1941. All signed by Oberst Max Illgen (German Cross in Gold winner; 1943 promoted to Generalmajor; on 15.11.1943 kidnapped in his house by Soviet Russian partisans and executed in Moscow).

Certificate to East Medal. Issued on 22.7.1942. Signed by Generalleutnant Hubert Lendle.

Certificate to Close Combat Clasp in bronze. Issued on 29.12.1944. Signed by an Oberst. 

Promotion document. Promote to Leutnant on 1.11.1938. Issued on 15.11.1938. Facsimile Walther von Brauchitsch. Cut edges.

Apart from the certificate to Wound Badge in silver, each document has two holes.

Close Combat Clasp in bronze. Zinc. Bronze finish. "Juncker Berlin" maker marked. Original backplate in position. The catch is slightly bent, so the pin can not be opened. 

1939 Iron Cross 1st Class. Three-part construction. Iron core. Original black paint. "26" maker marked to the pin. With the original black case of issue.

Wound Badge in silver. Tombak. 

Wound Badge in black. With the bag of issue. "Gebr. Gengenbach, Pforzheim" maker marked to the back. 

Infantry Assault Badge in silver. Zinc.

East Medal with the original ribbon and bag of issue. "Friedrich Keller" maker marked to the reverse of the bag.

1939 Iron Cross 2nd Class. Three-part construction. Iron core. Original black paint. Mint! Including the matching ribbon and bag of issue. "Wächlter" maker marked to the back of bag.
